The 2021 Porsche 718 is coming soon to Porsche Silver Spring, and we can’t wait to welcome it in our showroom. With it comes a range of updates from the current Porsche 718 model, including new performance equipment and cabin amenities.

Performance

New for 2021—and for the first time ever—is the option of a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission in the Cayman GT4, Spyder, and GTS 4.0 models. This new transmission renders quicker acceleration and more fluid shifts. Like the 2020 model, all 2021 versions come standard with a six-speed manual transmission.

The 2021 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 and Cayman GTS 4.0 feature a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer engine as standard. This machine delivers 394 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque and pairs with a six-speed manual transmission. As for the 0-60 mph time, expect a sprint in just 4.3 seconds in these two models. According to Car and Driver, the 2021 Porsche 718 Cayman is a “sublime mix of heady handling and a relatively relaxed ride.”

Technology

The 2021 Porsche 718 trim levels come with a user-friendly and responsive infotainment system, and Apple CarPlay™ integration is now standard in every model. Also equipped in each are bi-xenon headlights and the Porsche Dynamic Light System—both newly standard for 2021. The Boxster, Cayman, T, S, and GTS 4.0 models receive automatic dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and auto-dimming side mirrors with a rain sensor function.

We at Porsche Silver Spring are eagerly awaiting the release of the new 2021 Porsche 718 later this year. If you have any questions about this latest model and when exactly you can expect it at our luxury car dealership, contact us today!
